I was contacted by Arthur’s mummy as she was in need of someone to regularly visit him, as a kind neighbour who used to do this had moved away.
Arthur suffers from extreme separation anxiety and when I first met him he needed to wear a secure Thunder Shirt and was a very nervous and worried dog. However with lots of patience and gentle coaxing from Aunty, Arthur slowly began to trust me on my visits.
I soon discovered that what Arthur really craved was some other doggy friends to spend time with. This is where my own dog Paddington came to help. The two of them have become such good friends now and the transformation in Arthur is phenomenal. This is a little boy who positively gets excited and leaps off his window sill to come to the door when he sees his favourite Aunty and other furry friends coming to take him out.
Arthur is such a loving dog and it’s a pleasure to see how much he has grown in confidence.
